History

The president of Compass Rose Surveying, Inc., Mr. Alan Berarducci has made hundreds of magnetic surveys around the world including compass calibration pads for more than 30 years. Mr. Berarducci retired from the US Geological Survey Geomagnetism Program after 31 years. He is the most qualified person in the United States capable of providing consultation services for compass calibration pads. During his years at the USGS, Mr. Berarducci was in charge of compass pad certifications and instrument calibrations, including working with the US Army Corps of Engineers and the FAA to help with the respective documents for compass rose certification. He has also written articles and given oral presentations at forums about Compass Rose Surveys and how to perform them. His training is in geology, geophysics and geomagnetism. He has a B.Sc. in Geology from the University of Michigan.
